Howell’s original ice skating rink, formerly known as Grand Oaks Arena, was built on strong community ties in 1992. This legacy continues with robust grass roots programming from the Livingston Skate Club, Cougar Hockey Club, Greater Livingston United Girls High School Hockey, Howell High School Hockey Program, and Cleary University Hockey. Private rentals, various trainers, and both mens and womens teams play here as well. Since the purchase and name change in 2019 to the 140 Ice Den, there has been vast improvements with not just what you see, but also in the quality of the ice and equipment used. Embracing the past while visualizing the future. Our namesake is based upon our I-96 exit, 140, and yes, you can still see the Grand Oaks in the back parking lot.
